Field of Flowers – Abstract Impressions

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions, Field of Flowers card by Ink Paper Girl with Katrina Duffell Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Sydney Australia

WOW!! I think it’s safe to say that this field of flowers, is an absolute riot of colour. It’s the perfect antidote for cold winter weather, as it makes me feel warm & happy just looking at it.

If you’d like to have some fun & create your very own field of flowers, then you’re going to want to get your hands on the new Abstract Impressions photopolymer stamp set from Stampin’ Up!.

Top Tip: Photopolymer stamp sets are “see through”, so it’s easy to see exactly where to place your stamp.

When it comes to creating a card like this there is no right or wrong place to stamp, just have fun & stamp all the beautiful colours randomly. The abstract nature of the stamp that I used, also helps to give a free flowing, organic feel to the card.

Get the look: I used the small group of “circles” stamp from the Abstract Impressions stamp set to create my colourful flower heads.

Now I’ve chosen to keep my card sentiment free…But you don’t have to. You can choose from three lovely messages, within the Abstract Impressions stamp set…..If I was going to add a sentiment, then I’d probably choose the one that says, “If flowers were hugs, I’d send you a thousand”…. it’s a super sweet phrase! I think it could easily be used for a birthday, get well soon, or even on a sympathy card.

Get the look: I used a Stampin’ Up! Watercolour pencil in Old Olive to draw in my flower stems, & then softened the look of them with an Aqua painter (water brush).
