Surprise! I’ve got another sneak peek at the new, Abstract Impressions stamp set, to share with you today.
I think that you’re really going to like the clean lines, & the simplicity, of what I’ve put together.
The first 3 cards (see below) that we are going to look at, are single layer cards, which means I’ve stamped the main image/s directly onto the card base. And to make it even easier, I’ve stamped directly onto a Whisper White Note Card, which means there’s no cutting or measuring involved!
Each card uses the same 5 colours: Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana & Night of Navy.
If you’re thinking that some of those names are new, then you’re correct. Granny Apple Green is a totally new, colour, while Coastal Cabana is a returning colour from 2015. Both of these colours will be available from June 1st 2018, as they are part of the colour revamp & feature in the upcoming 2018 – 2019 Annual Catalogue from Stampin’ Up.
The second set of 3 cards (see below) that I created follow along the same path, & are all stamped directly onto a Whisper White Note Card, using the same 5 colours that I mentioned above.
I did however, decide to step them up a little, by stamping the sentiment onto a separate piece of cardstock, & then using a die from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies, to cut it out as a lovely label.
To add a some texture, I decided to punch a single hole into each end of the label, then threaded some Linen Thread in & out of each hole, while wrapping it around the note card. To secure it in place I tied a nice firm bow, but you could always add a glue dot underneath the middle of the label, if you wanted to be extra sure, about keeping it in place.
Now it was pretty hard to choose a favourite out of the set of 6, but I think I like the card below the most…Those soft, pretty blues, seem to gently fade away, while the darker navy sentiment, helps to ground the card & creates a lovely overlay on top of the flowers.
I’d love to know if I’ve inspired you…
Or if you have a favourite?
So please don’t be shy, leave me a comment below 🙂
Much Love, K xo
