It’s Friday afternoon!! Yay!!
This week has felt like it’s gone on forever & ever….I’ve had sooo many ups & downs, this week, but I’m not going to dwell on them any longer, because it’s Friday & it’s almost time for a glass of wine…so before I head off to get a glass, let’s take a look at these pretty cards that I made a couple of weeks ago.
Believe it or not, I made all of these cards from half a sheet of 12 x 12 inch designer series paper!
I know what you’re thinking…. “That’s outrageous!”…..but maybe not for the same reason as those that know & love me best. You see I love to
hoard...erm..collect ,-), pretty paper. It’s just this thing that I like to do, we all have our little quirks & this is one of mine. But the best part is that I then like to save it for “special”, & as a result I have loads of it in my craft room cupboards. So the fact that I’ve actually used some of my stash is outrageous in itself.
I started out keeping things nice & simple, by using my paper trimmer to cut the Petal Passion designer series paper into one narrow & one wide rectangle to make the first two card fronts. Because the paper is nice & neutral (black & white), I was able to customise the colours using some of my new Stampin’ Blends markers.
The remaining three cards were made by using my fabulous Paper Snips to fussy cut some of the individual flowers & leaves out. I coloured them in using the Stampin’ Blends, before I adhered the flowers to the cards.
All of the sentiments come from the Petal Palette stamp set which is in the current Occasions catalogue from Stampin’ Up!.
Now before I run off to get that wine, I wanted to remind you that Sale-A-Bration ends in a little over 2 weeks time. Now is the time to check out both the Occasions catalogue & the Sale-A-Bration catalogues & to place your order.
Have a great weekend!
Much Love, K xo
P.S. I went on to make a 6th card from the same half sheet of paper…I just haven’t had time take a pic of it.
