Now that school is back, the never ending parade of permission slips, school photo forms & other assorted paraphernalia seems to take up an ever increasing amount of time…add in homework, extra curricular activities, cooking dinner, cleaning up & getting the kids through the shower is it any wonder that it’s usually 9pm before we can even think about
collapsing in an exhausted heap on the lounge….doing something nice for ourselves.
If like me, you’ve got teenagers, you will know that they are quite possibly still out at a Scouts meeting until 9.30pm, or fussing about with homework & assignments, which means you’re still on the go, & can’t settle down to focus on anything for longer then 15 minutes at a time without getting interrupted.
Best of all you’ve just
remembered …erm…. reminded yourself ;-), that you need a b’day/thank you/congratulations/good luck/sympathy card for first thing tomorrow morning & you don’t have one on hand….
Don’t panic….If you have just a few basic supplies on hand, you can whip up one of these super versatile cards in 15 minutes or less.
Want to know the secret?
I’ve used Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Note cards & Envelopes with the new Stampin’ Up! Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack.
Keep reading for a Step by Step How To Guide… I’ve even broken down how long each step should take 😉
1: Because the note cards come pre-scored, all you need to do is fold them in half along the score line to create a quick & easy card base. Time spent folding = 30 seconds
*** The Petal Passion Memories & More card Pack comes with 72 double sided cards, in an assortment of sizes & images, plus some of the cards already have sentiments on them #timesaving.
2: Put the larger sized cards from the pack aside & choose one of the smaller cards, Why? Because the smaller cards will fit onto the note cards without having to cut them. Time spent choosing = 3 mins (you’ve got 52 small cards to choose from, so it might take longer then 1 minute, I think it’s safe to allow yourself 3 mins).
Once you’ve chosen your preferred card from the Petal Passion Memories & More card pack, you can either….
3A: Colour it in using your Stampin’ Blends. Time spent colouring = 8 mins
3B: Leave it as it is…..black & white always looks timeless & elegant. Time spent leaving it alone = 30 seconds (that’s how long you have to procrastinate over what you want to do).
So by now you’ve spent anywhere between 4 minutes to 11 minutes on your card & the clock is ticking…
Remain calm…there are only a couple of more steps to go.
4A: If you have time on your side, you can quickly cut & adhere a layer of basic black cardstock in between your note card base & your Memories & More card. Time spent cutting & adhering everything = 3 minutes (cut the basic black layer to 8.1cm x 10.7cm)
4B: If you don’t have time on your side, just grab your favourite adhesive & stick that Memories & More card directly onto your note card base. Time spent adhering it directly to your note card = 1 minute
Now if you’ve chosen a Memories & More card that already has a sentiment on it or just prefer to leave it sentiment free, you can sit back & relax, because you are DONE!! Total overall time spent making the card = 5 minutes
If however you would like to add some words…now is the time.
5: You have 1 minute left, so grab a stamp, ink it up & stamp it down…go on, I know you can do it!! Total overall time spent making the card = 15 minutes.
So tell me, what do you think?
